Can't Get Zotero to Use APA in Word

When inserting a source into my paper I can't get it to insert as APA. I verified I have APA selected within Word, but Zotero keeps using a different format. How do I change it to insert as APA? Thanks.

If you select APA, you'll get APA. Make sure you're not selecting ASA instead.

If you're still having trouble, post an example of the output you're getting. You should also take a screenshot of where you're selecting the style, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox), and provide a link here.

And just in case, you select the style from the Document Preferences window in the Zotero tab in Word.

Here is a link to the screenshot. It shows my document and the incorrect citation (at the end of the paragraph) and it shows above it that APA is selected. Thanks!

That’s the built-in Word bibliography feature. You need to select the style in the Zotero tab in Word. The label on the tab is Zotero.

I don't see where I select the style on the Zotero tab.

But the citations are also correct APA style. You're just seeing https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/given_name_disambiguation so you get initials.

Oooohhhh....its how I have the name set up in my database in Zotero that is causing the problem. I did have the author's name listed differently within his publications. Zotero says it is updating the database now that I edited it. It it doesn't work I will reach back out. Otherwise I think I am good to go, thank you for the quick responses.
