Style error: neuer Stil Geschichte und Gesellschaft

Hallo,

nach hochladen des Stils Geschichte und Gesellschaft im Validator https://validator.citationstyles.org/ bekomme ich 18 Fehlermeldungen, 16 davon lauten: Bad value “XXX” for attribute “name” on element “term” from namespace. Ich denke, das hat etwas mit default-locale="de-DE" zu tun. Kann mir jemand damit helfen? Die Datei findet ihr hier: https://pastebin.com/qyfAyCQL

Grüße
Julia

A lot of the errors are because you are trying to define terms that don't exist.
For example, in line 63 "here" is not a term that exists in CSL. I would suggest use the term "at". That one is an easy fix.
"no-place" equally does not exist. You will need to hardcode the "o. O." instead using <text value="o. O."/> wherever you need it inside the macros/citation, not in the locale section. Same goes for "blog-post" etc.

    Also,
    1. remove the English locale section, since this style is set to German.
    2. Add a "template" link for the style that you based this on. ;)
    3. Remove the duplicated ISSN
  • Thank you very much. Given that the current style is perfectly working I will think about changing the macros/citation part. The journal "Geschichte und Gesellschaft" is bilingual, German and English. Do I have to provide the Englisch version separately?

Language: no, then you would remove the language setting in line 2. That will allow a user to choose the language.

As you've put in all the work, it would of course be great if you submitted the style to our repository so other users can use your style and find it directly in Zotero. For that it will need to validate, of course.
    See: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md

Happy to help you here and do that for you if you're struggling with the above.
