Auto-updated Zotero yesterday, today cannot open

I accepted the update request yesterday and did not go back to using Zotero, now I can't get into my Windows version, I receive the following message. "Windows can not access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I am assuming the item referenced here is the Zotero.exe file. Have searched for it and it seems to be gone. Want to report this issue and understand if I should download the latest edition or how should I progress to get operability back. Need this for my dissertation work this weekend. Thanks, John
  • You should redownload Zotero and reinstall it. Your Zotero data will not be lost if you reinstall it. Make sure security software on your computer is not falsely blocking/detecting Zotero as malware.
