Every time I open Zotero a window pops up with “Zotero was unable to load translators and styles.” I already tried the steps suggested but it won't work. I also uninstalled Zotero and everything that goes with it and downloaded it again and it still won't work.
I can't even add new literature anymore.

    What steps did you try?

    Are you running any third-party security software? (Not likely on a Mac, but this is an unusual error.)

    If you close Zotero, go to the Zotero data directory, delete the 'styles' and 'translators' folders, and restart Zotero, does that make a difference?
