  • I'm unclear which journal you're requesting:
    Human Ecology or
    Journal of Human Ecology

you link to a styleguide (and ISSN) for the former, but provide a sample paper for the latter.
  • Hi adamsmith,
This is the same journal. I got all of the information from the same source. I believe that it used to just be called "Human Ecology" but it is now called "Journal of Human Ecology."
  • Actually I see what you're saying. I was referring to "Human Ecology"
  • edited October 16, 2020
The sample citations don't look at all right for Human Ecology, though. From a recent issue:

Bennett, N. J., Whitty, T. S., Finkbeiner, E., et al (2018). Environmental stewardship: a conceptual review and analytical framework. Environmental Management 61: 597–614.
  • I think I must have gotten the format for citing journal articles wrong. I was using a sample article from the journal, but maybe I copied the format for a book instead. The example you posted looks correct. Books and book chapters are formatted a little differently in the references.
  • How about I redo the sample citations with a sample from Human Ecology. I think I somehow got routed to the wrong journal when I tried to search for an open access article to share. Here are the corrected sample citations:

    In-text citation:
    (Campbell and Pedersen 2007)
    (Mares 2001)

  • It's weird, some of the articles use journal abbreviations in the citations and others don't. I'm not sure which is correct.
  • Logged, but things are currently moving a bit slower, so might take a bit
  • Okay, thank you!

OP, could you please edit the thread title to the correct journal?
