Better to post questions like this to zotero-dev — we try to keep technical discussions there — but this also isn't really a Zotero question at all. There are countless ways to run processes in the background on Linux (if that's what you're using), they depend entirely on your distro and personal preferences, and it's not the sort of thing we can help with here. (& would not be the solution, though.) If you don't know how to do this and/or aren't using Linux, it's easiest to just use Docker, which has process management built in.
