Refresh citations and bibliography
Hello everyone!
I had to switch from Mendeley since Elsevier, in my humble opinion, ruined it.
I am working on my master's degree thesis using Zotero 5.0.91 (macOS) on Word (16.42) and I am experiencing some glitches.
I needed to cancel a citation [Elsevier- Vancouver] so I highlighted it, clicked on ADD/EDIT, and deleted it. I checked the bibliography but the reference was still there, so I tried to refresh, but nothing changed.
The only way to update the bibliography was by adding a new citation...
I am new to Zotero and I am sorry if this topic showed up before, but it's really different from Mendeley and I am still getting the hang of it
Any tips?
Thanks

It might help to temporarily enable field code display to search for occurrences of the item https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/word_field_codes
Let's make an example.
TEXT:

Let's say I have to delate [7] and [9], instead of highlight the brackets and delete them within the citation plug in, and than click refresh, I should cancel both references in the text and bibliography?
For 7, you'd indeed use edit citation, remove that item from the citation and the bibliography should update on refresh.
For 9, you'd just delete the whole [9] from Word (and again, the bibliography would update).
