Style Request: Amerindia
1. The style is not available in the Zotero Style Repository.
2. I tried a search of the Zotero forums and there were no threads for this style.
3. Asking for a new style:
a. Link to the journal: https://www.vjf.cnrs.fr/sedyl/revues.php?voirintro=O&langue=en&revue=Amerindia&aire=CELIA and to the Instructions for authors: https://www.vjf.cnrs.fr/sedyl/images/Divers_Doc/Instructions_authors.pdf
b. Journal's ISSN: 2102-5401 (more info here: https://portal.issn.org/resource/ISSN/2102-5401)
c. Two citations in the format of the style requested using the articles by Campbell and Pedersen and the book chapter by Mares.
In-text citation:
(Campbell & Pedersen 2007)
(Mares 2001)
(note that the journal title should be in italics; I wasn't sure how to do that here)
Mares, Isabela. 2001. Firms and the welfare state: When, why, and how does social policy matter to employers? In Varieties of capitalism. The institutional foundations of comparative advantage, Peter A. Hall & David Soskice (eds.), 184–213. New York: Oxford University Press.
(note that the book title should be in italics; I wasn't sure how to do that here)
d. I did a search using the Search by example function in https://editor.citationstyles.org/about/ and the style that seems the closest is: Springer - Humanities (author-date) (http://www.zotero.org/styles/springer-humanities-author-date) -- Got a 94% match for the reference itself. The main difference seems to be where the label for the editors is placed. For the in-text citation, the main difference seems to be the absence/presence of a comma.
e. free article: All articles from a year ago and backwards are accessible as PDFs through the journal page. Here's a link to the introduction of the 2019 volume: https://www.vjf.cnrs.fr/sedyl/amerindia/articles/pdf/A_41_01.pdf

I can continue checking to see if there are any other issues.
1. Palancar, Enrique L. & Feist, Timothy. 2015. Agreeing with subjects in number: The rare split of Amuzgo verbal inflection. Agreeing with subjects in number: The rare split of Amuzgo verbal inflection. Linguistic Typology 19(3): 337–383

For adding specifications for other (minor) types of references, what does one do? For example, I have a conference presentation and a manuscript in my references but now only "author. year. title" shows for those but not anything like place or conference name, etc.
(sorry if this is a silly question; it's the first time I've asked for a new style in here. I really appreciate all the time you've put into this!)
This is what is showing right now:
-----
Estrada Ramírez, Hortensia. 2016. Índices de persona en la lengua sáliba.
Federmann, Hernan. 1991. Diccionario español-piaroa.
-----
And this is what it should be showing (I'm going with the Springer style that was closest but this is also kind of what I'd like to see included). I have made some comments on where things came from.
Estrada Ramírez, Hortensia. 2016. Índices de persona en la lengua sáliba. Talk presented at the Mini-Coloquio “Las familias sáliba, yurí-tikuna y jodï ¿herederos de una estirpe?,” Instituto Caro y Cuervo, Bogotá, Colombia.
1. “Talk” is coming from the “Type” field;
2. the name of “Mini-Coloquio “Las familias sáliba, yurí-tikuna y jodï ¿herederos de una estirpe?,” part is coming from the Meeting Name field;
3. the last part with “Instituto Caro y Cuervo, Bogotá, Colombia” is coming from the Place field
4. the "presented at the" part was added automatically
Federmann, Hernan. 1991. Diccionario español-piaroa. Unpublished manuscript. Caño Grulla/Caracas.
1. It added the “unpublished manuscript” from the Type field
2. It added the “Caño Grulla/Caracas.” from the Place field
Again, thank you!!!
