Numbering Incorrect Chicago Citation

When I deleted some citations during proofreading, instead of correcting the number, there is a gap in numbering. So it goes like 44, 45, 47, 48, etc. instead of bridging the deleted number. What do I do?
  • Footnote numbering is controlled by Word, not Zotero. Usually this happens if you are using tracked changes. Accept the changes and the numbers should update.
