Tried that. Didn't work. I've all but given up on Zotero too. I have to re-download every time, re-start computer and then it only works until next time I use it, and then I get the error message again. After two years of this nonsense, I am going to go back to doing references by hand. Never thought I'd see the day.
If you want help here, just start a thread and ask your question — don't come here to complain (and certainly don't do so in threads of other people's). We can't help you if you don't ask for help.
This error generally happens on a Mac as a result of previously starting Zotero from a disk image, or from having two copies of Zotero in Applications and moving one of them.
We need a Report ID before anything else. Then, if you open the Cite → Word Processors pane of the Zotero preferences, do you see buttons to reinstall the word processor plugins, or do you not? If you don't, open your Zotero profile directory, delete extensions.json, and then restart Zotero.
