Zotero causing Word to crash

Hi,

I switched to Zotero recently, because EndNote keep crashing my Word document. I've get rid of the EndNote add-ins in Word. But I found that the new document also crashes a several times in a day, it happens when I want to insert a citation using Zotero...I do have my Track Change turning on, does it have something to do with the issue? I am not sure if it is the problem of Zotero or not since I am very new to this software. Can anyone help? Thank you!

    Is it crashing — closing completely — or just freezing?

    What exact version of Word do you have?

    Does this happen in a new document?

    Hi, it's Microsoft Office 2016, it says Word has stop responding, then ask if I want to restart it. I am not sure if it happens to a new document (since I just started to use it a few day ago), but Word crashing does happens quite frequently when I use EndNote (even if it is a new document). I am not sure if it is the issue of Word or the citation software :(

    p.s. My Zotero version is 5.0.88

    How big is your document? What happens if you don't stop it and just let it go?

    You should test in a new document.
