Help, I wiped the local library and am not tech savvy

I dragged the Zotero folder from the PC location to the Google drive folder instead of making a copy. (This was dumb) When I reopened Zotero it was empty. My web library seems fine but I am scared to do anything else. Please advise, am on windows 10 and really starting to think zotero and I are never going to get along. Thanks
  • You didn't wipe anything — you just moved your data directory to another location without telling Zotero where you were moving it in the Advanced pane of the preferences.

But in this case that's a good thing, but you should never store your data directory in a cloud storage folder like Google Drive — you'll corrupt the database and lose data for real. Close Zotero and move the data directory from Google Drive back to the default location.
