Style Request: Claude Lévi-Strauss books

edited May 8, 2020
Book: Claude Lévi-Strauss, Mythologiques, vol. 1: Le cru et le cuit, Paris: Plon, 1964.

PDF scan of the book available at: https://monoskop.org/images/3/3a/Levi-Strauss_Claude_Mythologies_1_Le_cru_et_le_cuit.pdf.

In-text citation:

(Campbell & Pedersen)
(Campbell & Pedersen, p. 308)
(Mares)
(Mares, p. 185)

Bibliography:

CAMPBELL, J. L. and PEDERSEN, O. K. :
« The varieties of capitalism and hybrid success », Comparative Political Studies, vol. 40, no. 3, 2007, p. 307–332, https://doi.org/10.1177/0010414006286542.

MARES, I. :
« Firms and the welfare state: When, why, and how does social policy matter to employers? », in: P. A. Hall, D. Soskice, ed., Varieties of capitalism. The institutional foundations of comparative advantage, New York: Oxford University Press, 2001, p. 184–213.

Authors’ names are in small caps; bibliography entry is set as hanging indent.

If more than one work by the same author is in the bibliography, they are numbered and sorted chronologically:

LÉVI-STRAUSS, C. :
(1) Les Structures élémentaires de la parenté, Paris: PUF, 1949.
(2) Tristes Tropiques, Paris: Plon, 1955.

Then the in-text reference is:

(Lévi-Strauss 1)
(Lévi-Strasuss 2)
(Lévi-Strauss 2, p. 25)

I’d like to pay for freelance time to create the style, and also donate the final product to the Zotero citation style library.

  • @damnation -- interested?
(I'm not sure we'd take this for the official repository -- I don't quite understand the logic of copying the citation style used in a book, but we can talk about that later)
  • Sure.

    @swasiuta ,

Write me a PM and we take it from there. :)
