Style Request: Revista Ayer by AHC - España

Hello!
The style of the journal of the Spanish Association of Contemporary History is widely used, but none of styles in the repository match.
It is similar to the Chicago 17th ed. (full-note) style, and I have managed to change some things with the CSL style editor. Nonetheless, the rest of the variations are very complicated: I don't have the right skills.
I would be grateful for any help and I am sure many Spanish historians will approach to zotero because of this.

Thank you very much!
  • @FDAmaro

Right click, save as, install in Zotero: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/raw/93a19e8dd0c118f8869f01c5ae4760d3af1a0d14/ayer.csl
  • por lo general es en castellano. Pero podrían aceptar artículos en inglés, creo.

Muchísimas gracias por tu trabajo! Lo probaré en seguida ;-)
  • trabajo genial!!!

  • No entiendo.
Ya lo hace. La revista tiene el año entre parentesis.

    Test footnotes:

    Revista:
John L. Campbell y Ove K. Pedersen: «The varieties of capitalism and hybrid success», Comparative Political Studies, 40, 3 (2007), pp. 307-32. Recuperado de internet (https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0010414006286542).

    Libro:
Walter Isaacson: Steve Jobs, New York, NY, Simon & Schuster, 2011.

  • Please clarify any errors as a numbered list (all of them), and if applicable as a "current" vs "wanted output". Then I will look at it. ;)
  • Hello,

these are the most recurrent errors:

    problems in Full note citation:
    1. Book: double comma if a particular page is cited. Ex. Ismael SAZ: Las caras del franquismo, Granada, Comares, 2013,*, p. 136.
    2. Chapter: double space between pages if a particular page is cited. Ex.

    Problems in Subsequent citation:
    3. It is still the Chicago CSL. Ex. Pan-Montojo, «La Asociación de Agricultores de España», p.110. [full note is: Juan PAN-MONTOJO: «La Asociación de Agricultores de España y la clase política, 1881-1942», Ayer, 66 (2007), pp. 85-115.]
    4. There is no space between the p. and the number of the page. Ex. Saz, Las caras del franquismo, pp.143-4

Only the 3rd is an important one.
    Thank you very much!
  • 1. double comma for page locator: fixed
    2. chapter double comma: same problem as 1.
    3. I have no idea what you mean here.
    4. comma for "locators-subsequent": fixed

  • Thanks!

About the 3rd point, I'll try to explain it better.

When you cite again a paper or a book, it appears like this: Surname, «short title», p. xx

    Examples
paper: Pan-Montojo, «La Asociación de Agricultores de España», pp. 86-87.
book: Saz, Las caras del franquismo, p.136.

But it should be Name SURNAME: «short title...», p. xx.:

book: Ismael SAZ: Las caras del franquismo..., p. 136.
paper: Juan PAN-MONTOJO: «La Asociación de Agricultores de España...», pp. 86-87.
