  • What's the problem, exactly? That page should save as a webpage item with the Embedded Metadata translator.

    And you haven't provided all the information from the Troubleshooting Translator Errors page, so please do follow that page in full if you're experiencing a problem.

    zoteroAvailable => false
    @nickrichbell: If you're getting a message that Zotero isn't running, see Is Zotero Running? (You would need to use Linux to run the Zotero program on a Chromebook. There are some other threads about that in the forums.)
  • Zotero is running. When I try and edit a bibliography in Google Docs, I get a message:

    Is Zotero Running?
    The Zotero Connector was unable to communicate with the Zotero desktop application. Zotero must be open to use web-based citing.

    You can download Zotero or troubleshoot the connection if necessary.

  • I think there are some other steps you have to take to forward the necessary TCP port between environments on a Chromebook:

  • Thanks, I don't unederstand where to go for this step:

    in zotero:
    Edit -> Preference -> Advanced -> Config Editor -> Accept -> extension.zotero.httpServer.port -> double click and set to 8080
  • What don't you understand? "Edit" means the Edit menu.
  • Am I supposed to have installed zotero via Linux?
