I think maybe I'm encountering the same or a similar issue. I'm using a Macbook. When I attempt to add journal articles to the Zotero library, Zotero does add them, but essential information is missing -- such as the journal title, date, volume, number. This happens when attempting to add articles to my library from JSTOR and Proquest. Wiley and the British Journal of Sociology databases have worked fine. Below are links to examples of articles with missing journal info when added to a Zotero library. Thanks for any help anyone might have!
Also, about my last post: in addition to info missing, articles are entered into the library citation as existing in a website instead of a journal article.
Pretty sure the problem is the nature of the proxy. Proxies that mask the original host and also use changing gateways (the :2077 part in the first URL) are very hard for Zotero to deal with. I'm guessing Wiley and BJS happen to work because the sites have good standardized metadata on which Zotero falls back -- JSTOR and Proquest don't.
