New web UI : displaying single reference in group library

In our databases, we link bibliographic references to zotero group library items, like https://www.zotero.org/groups/356871/ichtya/items/W6V7X59P/
With the old web UI, this kind of weblink displayed a webpage showing a single bibliographic reference. With the new UI, it displays the complete library, with a very light-grey highlight over the title in the central pane, which is difficult to see, if the list is important. Another issue in the new web UI is there is no more web-connector to import automatically a single renfonce in Zotero (which was possible with the "old" UI). You can only use the export button, which is not handy as a web connector. Have you planned some improvements in the future?

I'm not sure what you mean here. The Zotero Connector is a browser extension that runs on your computer, which can save either to the desktop app or to the online library (though we recommend saving to the former when possible).

The new online library has more functionality for saving, not less — it includes a new Add Item by Identifier button, similar to the desktop app.
  • @zarafa: Oh, you mean "translator", not "connector". (The Zotero Connector is the browser extension itself. Translators are the bits of code, used by the Zotero Connector, that allow saving from specific sites.) Yes, the zotero.org translator won't currently work with the new online library, but we'll fix that. Thanks.
  • I was speaking of the case of reading references through a Group library, which is not one's of the reader, or the reader is not connected in zotero.org. In the ancient version, the browser zotero connector was able to import the reference in a zotero standalone - which is not the case with the new UI. In the new one, the extension imports not a reference but a "webpage with snapshot". See for exemple this reference : https://www.zotero.org/groups/356871/ichtya/items/JBB6PJS5/library.
I hope that my explanation is clearer now. Sorry for my english…

yes you're right, "translator" used by the connector.
