Ask Zotero to retrieve more meta-data?

Hi,

Many of my items are incomplete e.g. missign DOIs, Journal abbreviations etc,

Is there a way I can ask zotero to try and retrieve the missing metadata?

    For DOI, you can install the DOI Manager plugin to retrieve them:
    https://github.com/bwiernik/zotero-shortdoi/releases

    For journal abbreviations, you generally don’t have to worry about those. Zotero will automatically abbreviate journal titles when you cite the items in Word/LibreOffice.

    For other fields, updating metadata is planned, but no ETA on when it will be implemented. For now, the fastest way is usually to add the item by DOI using the Add by Identifier (Magic Wand) tool, then merging the two items.
