please help! I can no longer add or edit citations in my word document. any solutions? error code is 681081747.

Can you say more? What exactly is happening? Does it work in a new document? If so, see Debugging Broken Documents.

I use a Mac. it still does not work on new documents.
I was working on a large document and trying to refresh my citations. I noticed the problem after the refresh. I cannot add or edit citations,

But what exactly happens when you try to insert a citation in a completely new, empty document? Just saying it "does not work" isn't enough information for us to help you.

The citation pop up box does not come up when I try to site, so I cannot even insert the citations. Nothing happens when I click the “add citation” tab.
