I can add citations into the word document on the MacBook. But I am unable to add a bibliography. A prompt keeps coming out on the screen saying that Zotera has an error updating my document...
  • Can you provide a Report ID?

Then you should try the Debugging Broken Documents steps linked from the error message.
  • I can add in-text citations to the document, but a prompt keeps popping up saying Zotero experiences an error updating my document, so I can't add a bibliography.
My word document version: 16.30 (19101301) Zotero version: 5.0.77

Please don't create new threads for the same issue. You can just respond here. I've moved your post here.
  • Sorry. I have posted my report ID.
  • "[JavaScript Error: "The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error -1728.) @[setTextRaw:field.m:436]"
Can you reproduce the problem in a new, empty document?
  • What do mean to reproduce in a new document?
  • I have tried it again in a new, empty word document. Still, it doesn't work. The new report ID is 1812424645
  • Does this happen with a specific item or any one? As in, if you create a new document, insert a citation at random, and insert a bibliography, does this happen every time?

Does it happen with any citation style?

If you reinstall the Word plugin from the Cite → Word Processors pane of the Zotero preferences and then restart both Zotero and Word, does it still happen?
  • Yes. It happens any time with any citation at random. Anytime I insert a bibliography, it a prompt comes out saying there is an error updating the bibliography.
I have reinstalled the word plugin a couple of times, but the same issue remains unresolved.
  • Could you try creating a new macOS user account and inserting the bibliography there?
