how to restore deleted folders from Zotero App

Suddenly my folders appeared double in my zotero App, I deleted one of each and then all of them where gone...can not be found in the deleted items and also undo is not possible? Any ideas how this can happen?

    We haven't be able to reproduce it ourselves, but there've been some reports of a visual bug where collections appear in duplicate until Zotero is restarted, and deleting one of them deletes the real collection.

    You should immediately (before starting or closing Zotero) make a backup of the zotero.sqlite* files in your Zotero data directory and then try restoring the collections from one of your last automatic backups.
