First year phd student - tips please
Hello,
I am a first year Ph.D. student. I am looking for the best way to organize my references, readings, and notes. I have a system, but I am looking to improve it.
Usually, I make a reading critical summary with key elements (main arguments, important quotes) in 2-5 pages in a Word document for a reading/book, etc. I transform the Word doc to a PDF. I attach the PDF to the corresponding reference in Zotero.
Does this sound like an effective way to do this?
Thank you,

bwiernikAttaching a pdf like that is fine. The contents of they will be searchable later. I would recommend also adding relevant tags to the Zotero items after reading.
