Hello,
Citing a news piece from an online news agencies such as CNN without an author should produce a note that starts with CNN (as website name/owner), according to Chicago manual. (CNN. 2007. “News Item Title,” December 22, 2007. https://cnn.com/test/test.)
But as of now, if the entry is classified as a website in Zotero, it starts with news item title: “News Item Title.” 2007. CNN. December 22, 2007. https://cnn.com/test/test.
The only way now seems to label the item as a newspaper article rather than a website. Can website be modified to match what the manual requires?

Changing CMoS often takes some time, so might not happen super quickly. Also, you can of course just put CNN into the author field, which is equally justifiable in my opinion (they are the institutional author, after all) to get the right citation output.
