Changing the font in citations?

Can anyone suggest how I could change the font for citations in zotero please? It is currently Verdana 11.5 and every time I paste a citation I have to change the font and size. thank you

Specifically, Zotero sets the style of the citations to whatever the style is for the paragraph they in (e.g., Normal). Instead of manually changing the font face and size for your document, edit the Normal template to use the style you want.
