Problems with "cultural geographies" / Humane Style
Hi!
I'm preparing an article for the Journal of Law, Culture and the Humanities, which uses the "Humane" style of footnotes, apparently the one that Cultural Geographies uses.
The article was written using zotero in another style. I went into my preferences and added this one: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=cultural geographies
and attempted to switch to this new style. But the numbering is off, half the footnotes are missing, and when I try to add a new citation now, the number appears but no corresponding footnote appears. What can I do? Is this style actually usable?

@damnation do you want to take a look? The fact that they have a format for subsequent citations https://studysites.uk.sagepub.com/repository/binaries/pdf/CGJ_Reference_Guide.pdf clearly indicates a note and not numeric style.
I've had a go at this. I am dependent on your review and testing though. Could you download the new style here and test it out?
Link: https://github.com/POBrien333/styles/raw/6b5eb17f816503c0c12b4a97b326225a65e331f3/cultural-geographies.csl (right click, save as, install in Z)
Also, we can add the Journal of Law, Culture and the Humanities journal as a depedent style of the GC style. Could you provide me with ISSN, eISSN, link to guidelines and an open-access article? that way you and other authors will have it easier in the future.
Adam, btw. what is this 'Humane' style they're talking about? As in a generic humanities style?
New style now on the repository: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:cultural-geographies.
Dependent style for the Journal of Law, Culture and the Humanities is being created: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/pull/3563
I'm also submitting to Cultural Geographies, and in trying out this Zotero style I found that it's still not including the journal name or page numbers in the footnote citation. Did anyone else have this issue? Any assistance is much appreciated!
@damnation could you take a look? I think you put most relevant information into the bibliography but it needs to be in footnotes (or endnotes rather, if you're submitting). If I'm right about this, should be a reasonably quick fix. I don't think the style needs a bibliography at all.
Update your Zotero or download the style via the repository. It'll have yesterday's timestamp.
