Upgrade StorageEdit required: York St John University - Harvard
I wondered whether it would be possible for someone to make a very small edit to the 'York St John University - Harvard' style? The in text citation should be (author date) e.g (Smith 2000) and not (author, date). I think this error has arisen because of a mistake in one of our previous style guides where a comma was included. Our current style guide can be found here: https://www.yorksj.ac.uk/ils/harvardpdf
What else is not correct?
1) Books, book chapters & journal articles: our current style guidance is that ebooks, ebook chapters and online journal articles are referenced in the same way as print so:
Kielhofner, G. (2004) Conceptual foundations of occupational therapy. 3rd ed. Philadelphia, PA, F.A. Davis Co.
instead of:
Kielhofner, G. (2004) Conceptual foundations of occupational therapy. 3rd ed. [Internet] Philadelphia, PA, F.A. Davis Co. Available from https://capitadiscovery.co.uk/yorksj/items/69174 [Accessed 30th May 2018].
It would be great if the style could be changed to reflect this.
2) Where [Internet] is present in the style we would like the full stop to occur after instead of before so:
Edelson, S. (n.d.) Asperger’s Syndrome [Internet]. Available from http:// www.autism.org/asperger.html [Accessed 19th September 2002].
instead of:
Edelson, S. (n.d.) Asperger’s Syndrome. [Internet] Available from http:// www.autism.org/asperger.html [Accessed 19th September 2002].

The style is now correct in relation to point 2) - thanks!
It looks like 1) is still an issue i.e. the presence of a URL in a book record results in the reference including [Internet], the URL and an accessed date when we'd like it to appear in the same way as a print book.

I have marked the Pull Request to be on hold and will wait for further guidelines.
Our official guidance for ebooks (https://www.yorksj.ac.uk/ils/harvardpdf, p. 20) has now been updated so would it be possible to alter the style so that ebook and ebook chapters are referenced in the same way as print books and chapters?
Also, would it be possible for the 'Document' format to be updated so that it follows the report/document guidance on p. 62 & 63 of the guide?

1. eBooks: How can we differentiate here? An ebook is not just an ebook if it has the URL field filled in.
2. Document (article in CSL):
As this type does not have a "place" field, you'll need to add it in the extra field via publisher-place: Washington, D.C.

2. Couldn't we use "report" instead -- "Document" isn't an item type that's available from CSL, so it's a mess to code with (only appears as a fallback on else conditions).

The reason for these changes is that we have just starting using Talis Aspire for our reading list system. I understand that they pull the style information from Zotero. In Talis Aspire there is a Document format which I assume pulls from the Zotero Document format (otherwise we would just use the 'Report' format). In Talis Aspire a lot of the book references contain URLs to the ebook. They are, therefore, being identified as ebooks and are referenced as such.

2) Did the format for ebook get changed - I wasn't sure from the question that was asked above? We would like the format for ebooks to be the same as books i.e. the presence of a URL doesn't change how the reference displays (just like online journal articles display in the same way as the print).

BTW: there is a mistake on page 20 with a dot after the (2013) of the Jones example.
2. Document:
this formats like this for me with the place in extra as described above:

The idea is to treat ebooks (or books with a URL) exactly like print books, i.e. no access date, no URL.
If the ebook is just an electronic version of the print you can reference it as you
would a print book (see page 18).
That's what we would like the style to reflect.

As you can see it is currently on "open". this will need reviewing by the team and will then be "merged", which means it will then be on the Zotero repository and also updated within the program when that updates.
The style is now merged and will update in your Zotero with the next update or you can do it manually in the preferences.
