Custom Document Types

Is it possible to create new document types in Zotero? I need to be able to cite press releases, brochures, submissions to administrative tribunals, and others. Also, how does one include both an author's name and affiliation in a citation, when the affiliation is different from the publisher?

    You can't create custom item types at this time (and they wouldn't help you for citing anyway, because the citation styles wouldn't be aware of them).

    No way to include an author's affiliation, either; I've never seen that used in a citation, though.
