sync problem on MacBook Pro

My library isn't syncing on my MacBook. I though it might be because I had maxed out my storage so I bought the $20 2 gb option--but still it won't sync. I checked proxies are off on OS X. I reinstalled Zotero and still won't sync. I am baffled. Here is the error code.

Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

Where exactly are you seeing that? Can you provide a Report ID? That's not an error we've ever seen in Zotero.
  • ok, here is the report ID:
    D1668426047
  • IT just won't sync --at least on the Starbucks network (could that be the problem?)

Yes, it's a problem with the network you're using. Try on a different network.
  • Ok... went to my home network and still not syncing. Here is the latest report ID:

    D1181240587
  • actually, when I clicked on the exclamation button (red), it is telling me it is 845084090... possibly javascript?
  • I think the upgrade to javascript did the trick ... it has been giving me the rotating sync circle for over 5 minutes ... a good sign I believe ( It may be catching up on syncing all my pdfs since I just upgraded to the 2 gb storage limit). Thanks.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. JavaScript isn't something you "upgrade" — if you're saying you upgraded Java on your system, that's something completely different and unrelated to Zotero.

But if it's working now, that's good.
  • upgrading java seemed to do the trick. Thanks!

No, again, Java isn't the same as JavaScript, and it has nothing to do with Zotero, so upgrading Java definitely do anything. It's likely that whatever problem you were having was fixed simply by restarting Zotero and/or your computer.
