Zotero toolbar not present in application

Hi,
I've previously used Zotero on windows with no problem, however I've just downloaded it on mac and noticed that the toolbar which usually has 'file, edit, tools, help' is missing. Does anyone know why this is and can anyone help me to restore the toolbar? Thank you!

    I'm not quite sure what you mean. That's just the Mac menu bar, which should appear at the top of the screen unless you're running Zotero in full-screen mode (in which case you can move your mouse to the top of the screen to reveal the toolbar and get out of it).

    I completely forgot about the mac toolbar at the top, sorry I feel really stupid as I've only used mac for a couple of days.
