Cannot Cite in MS Word using Zotero

Hi, I have had issues with Zotero for weeks and my thesis defense is fast approaching. I got a new HP and downloaded Zotero with plugins. I worked my way around it to make Zotero appear in Wor but that it. I cannot cite. When I click the add/cite pane in Zotero nothing comes. I have uninstalled and installed Zotero many time. I updated MS Word, uninstalled it and changed to a previous version of Word all to no avail.

Is there anything I can do now. I am pretty desperate.

    In Zotero Preference | Cite | Word Processors, did you check that the Microsoft Word add-in is installed? Did you try to reinstall it using that button?
    In MS Word | Options | Add-ins, do you see Zotero listed in the Active Application Add-ins?

    What versions of Zotero and Word are you using? What operating system and version?
