I'm managing a large, multi-user reference database with zotero.

We have an issue with an increasing number of duplicates. While we can manually resolve those, I think it would be fairly easy to avoid duplicates:

Whenever a new paper is added to Zotero, check first whether there is a potential duplicate.
If there is, show a dialog asking whether to really import a duplicate of that item.
(This dialog should take care of the case where a duplicate can't be accurately identified).
