drag PDF to collection in Zotero Standalone

Windows 10, Zotero 5.0.59, Chrome 71.0.3578.98 64-bit, Firefox is not up to date.

If I try to drop some PDFs onto a collection, nothing happens.
I see this in the log:

[JavaScript Error: "NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND: Component returned failure code:
0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIFile.isDirectory]"
{file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/zotero.js" line: 2700}] Zotero.DragDrop.getDataFromDataTransfer@chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/zotero.js:2700:10
Zotero.CollectionTreeView.prototype.canDropCheck@chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/collectionTreeView.js:1586:17
Zotero.LibraryTreeView.prototype.onDragOver@chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/libraryTreeView.js:365:8
ondragover@chrome://zotero/content/standalone/standalone.xul:1:8

This problem doesn't occur on Linux Ububtu 16.4, Zotero 5.0.59, Chrome and Mozilla.

Do I need an up to date Mozilla to use Zotero Standalone?
  • It may not be related, but there's something odd about that error — it seems to be pointing to a line number that shouldn't exist. We don't usually recommend this, and it probably won't make a difference, but start by uninstalling and reinstalling Zotero.

If it's still happening after that, can you provide a Debug ID for this?

Are you dragging PDFs from a normal location on your local drive or some more unusual directory (network share, cloud storage folder, etc.)?
  • After reinstallation it works.
My zotero was auto-updated to 5.0.59. Thanks!
