eBooks in Chicago style

I often use eBooks in research, versus having to drive to the library or bookstore to physically get a copy, and I have to type these citations manually since Zotero doesn't do it. Does anyone have any tips, tricks or workarounds for citing an eBook in Chicago style using Zotero?
  • If you put the e-book description, like "Kindle edition" or "PDF e-book" into the url field in Zotero, you'll get correct Chicago citations according to 14.166 in the manual.
It's not the greatest workaround, but it's also not that unreasonable as a location for that info.
  • also I think, if you go to worldcat.org, and find ebook version and export citation for endnote. It also works with Zotero.
  • The best approach currently would be to add ‘Medium: Kindle edition’ to the Extra field.
