MS Word Plug-IN

I have tried all the troubleshooting tips on the website but am still unable to add the plugin for MS word. Is there anything else I can try?

What version of Word?

I have tried reinstalling zotero, customizing the ribbon through word (options>customize ribbon>Developer>Add ins). I have also tried disabling and enabling extensions through zotero.

I have microsoft office 365

Zotero toolbar doesn't appear, Zotero tab does not appear in the Word Ribbon,

What exactly happens at each step there?

I am able to get steps 1-3 but then I can't go any further. Maybe I am not understanding what it means bu a "new developer tab." If I am doing it right the "Word Add Ins" is not clickable

Ok, Yes. I moved onto the next step but "Zotero.dotm" was not there

ok what if I go to tools>addons and they are enabled?

Go to the next step:

Go into Zotero Preferences → Cite → Word Processors and click “Install Word for Windows Add-in”. Restart Word.

I'm sorry, but it is still not working. I am trying to follow the prompts without luck. I have even tried restarting my computer to see if it would reset.

I have a mac pro and I have word 2011. I tried all the prompts to access to zotero in word but I could not.
