Journal Abbr doesnt appear in Chicago Style

Hi
Journal abbr doesnt appear in chicago style in the bibiliography and in footnotes - how can i solve this easily? If I switch to Elsevier/harvard it appears?

I am sure in the Chicago style journal abbr are supposed to appear

    Chicago Style uses the full journal title, not the journal abbreviation.

    I don't know why you are sure about this. Journal abbreviations are not used in any of the styles described in the Chicago Manual of Style.
