how do i fix this? apparently it's doing a version of chicago that i don't want. i thought i set the document up for author-date, but now it's all wrong and when i try to change it i get the "zotero experienced an error updating your document."

    Run through the debugging broken documents steps.

    Before you do that -- this particular error occurs most often when you try to convert a document using endnote back to in-text citations. So if the current style is using endnotes, switch them to footnotes in the document preferences and click OK, then switch to the author-date style.
