counting number of items from each publication

Is there a way to search by a specific journal or publication, and count the number of times this source was used in a library? Thanks.

If you just search (e.g. in advanced search) and the select all it will show the number of items, or am I missing the question?

It will show the items, but doesn't count the total. So we have to manually count them.

From the advanced search you may need to create a saved search and select all there -- the # of items will then be displayed in the right-hand panel.
When using regular search, you can skip that step.

If you click Save Search then select all or none of the items, the right pane will show you the total number.
@dstillman
Can the number of search results be added above the item tree in the Advanced Search window?

Thanks, I will try that.
