Adding citations into zotero

I am working on a team project and after citing 195+ sources we realized that having zotero would be beneficial for everyone involved. I have seen previous question that are similar to the one I have, but still don't understand how to exactly produce the outcome desired. Right now, we have the citations in a Word document, but we also have a rtf document of all the sources (copied and pasted from Word). How can I transfer these citations without individually searching for each citation on the computer or manually entering each citation? If you can explain it in simple terms I would greatly appreciate it because all the technical language from previous posts is confusing me.
