Communication Error

I am trying to use the in text citation feature in Microsoft word on Mac. I have zotero stand alone and it just keeps telling me that Word could not communicate with zotero and I need to make sure that Word or Firefox are open even though they both are. I have Zotero version 4.0.26.3 and Word version 16.10. Please help! I am so annoyed as I have been having this problem for months

For first, upgrade to last version of Zotero.

I am having the same issue and have current versions of zotero, Word and Mac OS. I have reinstalled the plug-in through zotero, confirmed the .dotm is there and restarted both applications. No luck.

Full restart of my computer solved the issue, go figure :)
