Footnotes to Endnotes

When writing a paper in Open Office Writer v3.0.1, I used footnotes so that I could see the text I was referring to while I wrote the paper.

My professor requires endnotes and I am having trouble converting them. Ideas?
Zotero for Firefox v1.5b2
Plugin for Writer v2.0a2

p.s. is there a way to change the format from small roman numerals for endnotes?
  • okay, so I figured out that the problem was caused by the interspersal of 'normal' footnotes between the zotero footnotes.
is there a way to change them all at once?
  • Not as far as I know. (As a side note, I believe that this is may be relevant to this ticket in Trac and the related discussion thread on zotero-dev.)
  • thanks for the response!

the trac ticket does seem to be related, though I am not switching from in-text to notes, but from footnotes to endnotes, and the zotero-dev discussion (assuming you meant the one linked in the trac ticket) was informative though it didn't seem to directly affect my particular problem.

my guess, though I am _not_ a developer, is that when you insert a zotero footnote, it has a different class than when you insert a normal footnote.

I would, however, be in favor of the notion to be able to force a note in zotero without it having to contain a citation. It seems like the library could come with some kind of a blank entry that just created the citation and then you could type your note either in the client (in the prefix or suffix fields) or in the doc itself.

I think I have managed a work-around by putting a blank entry (I don't _think_ the type matters) into the Library in Firefox and then selecting the blank whenever you just want to put in a normal note, but I haven't tested it extensively.
