how to make diacritical marks in zotero

I need to manually enter many of my citations, and i cannot find how to make diacriticals, as in the accent, dots over the u, etc...

depends on the system -- every operating system has its own way of entering diacriticals. In Windows, switching to an international keyboard is often the best choice. You can google this in general for your system -- Zotero behaves the same what that e.g. writing here or an e-mail in your browser would.

The only thing that doesn't work are the Office-specific shortcuts.

I usually type text with diacritics or special characters in Word, then copy and paste into Zotero.
