Removing ibid in Chicago 16

I would like to remove ibids in Chicago 16, but all the already exisiting threads on the forum jump into coding, which I have no idea where to begin with. Does anyone have an easier version of the coding for dummies :/ Thanks

You can use the visual editor for this. http://editor.citationstyles.org/visualEditor/
Search for the style in the name search here http://editor.citationstyles.org/searchByName/, click on edit and it will bring you the Visual editor.

And just using Chicago 17 is really not an option?

You will need to change the style id so it doesn't get overwritten. See
