Unable to save anything to library

Hi! Nothing is saving to my library for some reason! This started yesterday and I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and restarting my computer, and nothing is working.
I'm in the middle of writing a paper and I was just introduced to Zotero. Do I really have to go back to writing all my citations myself?!

Which browser, which Zotero version, and where from/how are you trying to save?

Do you get any error messages or what exactly happens when you're trying to save?

Same thing has happened to me.

Chrome, 5.0.24, it doesn't work from a database or a webpage, but I have gotten it to work from our library catalog and from the folder (multiple item) picker.

I've already disabled all my other extensions to see if it was something else interfering with it, but it still isn't working.

which databases specifically? And in the Chrome connector preferences, what does the Zotero Status say?

EBSCO specifically. It works in Proquest, Scopus and Web of science and Jstor.

It's working (just) now with the webpage I was trying yesterday (when I noticed the problem). EBSCO is still not working.

The Zotero status is available.

Good -- if this re-occurse, first try restarting Zotero and Chrome, then check if Zotero shows up as available in the Zotero Chrome connector preferences.

It's working now for the website it didn't work on before, but EBSCO still isn't working.

Any search in EBSCO will work (or, rather, NOT work) really, it wasn't specific to a certain resource. But if you want to know, I searched for "college students" and "Stress" and tried to access the first article.

I can find your example by searching for accesion number 125123631. Moreover, I see that in the search page everything works fine, but by clicking on an individual entry, the detection seems not to work most of the times. @adamsmith This seems to be the case for pretty much every example I tried. Do you see the same?

This might be unrelated, or not, but sometimes when I open a journal article from my Google Scholar saved search email, Zotero's firefox translator will not recognize the item as journal article. It will show up as webpage. But if I refresh the page (with the individual item), the translator icon changes to the correct item type.

Yes. I reported the GS saved search email issue in early July and again on 30 August.

The same problem still occurs when I use some other email-update links. Back in August the need to refresh before Zotero recognized the metadata on the page was every time I reached a publisher site from an email link. Now, the problem doesn’t happen every time but only sometimes.

I'm having a similar issue. Using google chrome on a mac, searching via a campus library connection. On Business Source Elite/Ebsco I am l searching "artificial intelligence" (all text) in MIS Quarterly. I turn up 118 results. I click on the first entry, "Early Expert Systems: Where Are They Now?" and then click the save to zotero extension button in the top right corner. Nothing. When I right-click and try to manually save to zotero (webpage with snapshot), again, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? How can I work around this? Go through Mozilla? I'm not having this trouble with other (non-Ebsco) databases. Link below to what I'm trying to save (though it's doubtful anyone else can get there, since it's university-specific access):

Something off with script injection. Same problem in Firefox. Page should otherwise detect fine.

I haven't tested this w/o proxy yet, but efilgo above reports the same issue without proxy.

@adamsmith - stupid question: your response above, was that you just saying that you had checked through my problem, followed by instructions to another person on this forum instructions on how to fix it? Are you and/or others paid to monitor this forum and fix any problems as they are reported? If so, any sense of how long before a fix?

Basically yes. No idea how long this will take to fix -- depends on how difficult the fix is.

For me at least this works correctly without the proxy, i.e. on the SU campus.

I tried it also via VPN and this worked fine for multiples. Not sure you have this possibility at your university. But I have the similar experience for single entries (Updated this comment).

I'm using Firefox, and I also have problems saving individual articles from Ebsco. It works fine when clicking the folder button in the result list, but when clicking on individual article titles it doesn't recognize that it's an article. It just says "Web Page with snapshot".

So is there anything to do, or is all we can do to wait?
