This may be small and easily worked around, but to me it is natural to view a journal article item in Zotero as the file itself, with attached metadata. I understand the benefit of being able to attach other files, but it still strikes me as intuitive to double click on the item in Z to view the attached pdf, without needing to open the item then open the attached file. It's just another step removed--but like I said, a small matter. Anyway, perhaps there can be an option where a a Journal Article (and perhaps other types) can have a "primary attachment" so that the item itself links to a pdf / other, but you can still have other attachments for datasets, comments, notes, etc?
