Importing a Furl database

You must know that the Furl application has been discontinued and is transitioning to Diigo. This is not an acceptable solution for people who use Furl to archive research documents. Can you create an import tool so Furl users can import their databases & cached website information over to Zotero? Thank you.
  • You can export to BibTeX or RIS & import that into Zotero as a work-around already.

A richer import from their XML or ZIP files might be nice in the future if more furl users were interested in it (this has come up before).
  • Im one of those Furl users being punted over to Diigo and not really 'diiging' it, so now Im on Zotero. Would LOVE to pull my ZIP file into Zotero.
  • I suspect you'll see a flood of Furl users show up here over the next few weeks.
  • I'm a furl user who has been using zotero lately.
I have more than 100K items / 2GB cached pages on furl which I would like to migrate to zotero.
I'd like to help someone work on a tool which would help me do this. I'm not a programmer.
The way I thought I could do it myself was to use 'wget'.
    http://www.gnu.org/software/wget/manual/wget.html
I'd like wget to go through my furl archive page by page, and save each item in the cache with the tags I have used in furl, which match the ones I use in zotero. I'd like wget to save each cached page in a format which zotero can import, preferably with the tags.
I will experiment with some wget wgetrc files.
I will post my results here to help anyone else.
If anyone with competence in furl, wget or zotero could leave hints here, I'd appreciate it.
