Zotero for Firefox

I upgraded to 5.0 accidentally while working on a paper. Just now I realized it doesn't work on Firefox anymore. Really not a good time to learn the new app for me. How can I go back to using the previous Firefox plug-in (version 4)? Is it still available?

Thanks.

There's nothing fundamentally new in Zotero 5.0. Make sure you download the client and the connector for firefox. The workflow is essentially the same, except that Zotero is now a separate application rather than integrated into Firefox.
  • So has the Firefox plug-in been discontinued? Will it be maintained for the users who don't want to upgrade?

The Firefox integration was an appealing feature. For example, it allows to work with just one app (searching, storing and reading pdfs) in a full-screen mode without switching between the windows.

    Thanks.

The Firefox plugin is being discontinued for technical reasons beyond our control.
  • Thanks for the clarification. It's sad, but undersandable. The new version looks good and works fast. Only hope the transition will be smooth.
