LibreOffice crashes when adding bibliography [Zotero 5.0]
Hello dear colleagues,
this is my first post. For a long time now I have the following problem: Whenever i click the „Add/Edit Bibliography“ button on the LibreOffice toolbar, no window or dialogue appears but LibreOffice gets totally unresponsive and I have to force close both LibreOffice and Zotero to get things working again. This is kind of sad because auto-generated bibliographies are such a nice feature. Recent updates didn't resolve the problem.
Does anyone know how to resolve this? Big thanks in adavance!
Technical facts:
MacOS: 10.12.5
LibreOffice: 5.2.7.2
Extension: 5.0.3
Java: 1.8.0_92
Zotero Mac: 5.0-beta.231+f7c1c56d7

adomasven Zotero TeamHow many citations in this document? Does it work well in a new doc? In general you should allow it some time if there are many citations in the bibliography.
-
traumzeit77in the current doc there are 35 citations. But neither does it work in fresh doc with only one citation.
-
adomasven Zotero TeamIf you press ESC does it unfreeze?
-
traumzeit77Indeed it unfreezes when I press Escape, just tested it with a fresh doc containing only 2 random citations.

adomasven Zotero Teamedited July 6, 2017Could you produce a Debug ID for pressing the button and then ESC?
-
traumzeit77Debug ID: D1735810834. Thanks.
-
adomasven Zotero TeamRight, so there is a bug in MacOS which prevents dialogs from displaying and it appears that LibreOffice freezes. That said, it seems that you have selected a citation style that does not define bibliography, which is what LibreOffice is trying (and failing) to tell you.

traumzeit77adomasven, thank you very much! I chose another style and now everything works just fine.
