Zotero 5.0 sync error

I'm running Zotero 5 Standalone on both Windows (7) and Mac Sierra. Today (for the first time) the Mac won't sync items created in the PC (5.0-beta.202+ddc9989). I thought it might have something to do with running low on Dropbox space (where I store attachments) but clearing some doesn't help, and anyway that shouldn't stop syncing of the item entries themselves.

  • You have a note that's too long — probably from an embedded image. You should be able to find it by searching for the HTML that shows up in the error message, but if you update to the latest Mac version (205) the error popup should give you a button to select the item in your library.
  • thanks, totally fixed it! I thought I had automatic updating selected but maybe I imagined that...
