Norton 360 and Zotero
Has anyone been able to get Zotero to work with Norton 360?
I had to uninstall Norton 360 to get Zotero to work again, but I really liked 360. How can I get the two to play well together?
(I never even enabled Identity Safe, so I know that was not my problem.)
Thanks for any advice!

I changed the thread subject from "Firewalls and Zotero", because this is an issue with Norton, not firewalls in general. I can't tell you why you're still getting the error with Identity Safe disabled, but, one way or another, Norton appears to be injecting itself into Firefox in an incorrect manner. As far as I know there's nothing we can do about it on our end. (A number of Firefox extensions did a similar thing from inside Firefox, and most of them have fixed the problem.)
For starters, I'd make sure you have the latest version of Norton.
Unless someone else responds with other tips for me to try, I'm afraid I will have to abandon Norton.
Ironic that I will consider abandoning something I paid for in order to keep something that is free. Can't do without Zotero though! :-)
