error installing microsoft word plugin

Can I speak in Portuguese?
I can't install... I already follow all the instructions and appear the message "verifique se o Word está fechado e atualize o Firefox".

    What operating system, version of Word, and version of Zotero are you using?

    Bom dia. Obrigada. Não sou fluente no inglês.
    Utilizo Windows, Word 2016 e Zotero for Firefox.
    O ícone do Zotero está aparecendo na barra do Firefox.
    Já reiniciei o computador e já tentei seguir todos os passos possíveis que o Zotero orienta. Já tentei instalar o plugin pelo Zotero, também já fui em preferência-> citação-> instalar o suplemento. Não dá certo. Em todas as tentativas sempre aparece a caixa de diálogo "Um erro não permitiu que a instalação fosse completada. Por favor, certifique-se que Microsoft Word está fechado, e então reinicie Firefox."

    So, Zotero tries to place a template file (zotero.dotm) into your Word's startup directory and for some reason isn't able to. I think I'd try to do this manually, see the instructions here:

    (and feel free to continue writing in Portuguese, it just takes me too long to write reasonably legible Portuguese answers)

    Eu cliquei no link e fui direcionada para "Installing Word Processor Plugins for Zotero for Firefox - This page provides word processor plugins for users of Zotero for Firefox....." Então cliquei em "Install Word for Windows Plugin 3.5.6". Instalei. Parecia que estava instalando, o Firefox foi reiniciado e depois apareceu a caixa de diálogo "Um erro não permitiu que a instalação fosse completada. Por favor, certifique-se que Microsoft Word está fechado, e então reinicie Firefox." Mas o Word está fechado.

    Também já fui no Word e habilitei todas as permissões para suplementos.

    Right, but that's just the first step. You'll want to then follow steps 2-6 to manually install the template (zotero.dotm) into the Word
    startup folder. If you have a hard time finding the file on your computer, you can also download it from here: https://github.com/zotero/zotero-word-for-windows-integration/raw/master/install/Zotero.dotm

    Do you mind if I change the instructions to download zotero.dotm from github rather than finding it locally? People seem to struggle with that step a lot.

    Mas se eu abrir outro documento do word o zotero não aparece instalado. Certo, eu entendi que preciso fazer os próximos passos. Mas não sei como, não sou expert na área. Por exemplo: "In your Firefox/Zotero profile open the folder extensions/zoteroWinWordIntegration@zotero.org/install, where you you can find a copy of the file Zotero.dotm" eu não sei como fazer isso... =/

    Eu li essa explicação de vocês em um fórum antigo:
    "that's the Zotero data folder, which is different for the Firefox profile folder (I know, it's confusing).
    Go up one level to
    C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\y7iasl9c.default

    there you'll find a folder "extensions" --> open that. that's where you'll find zoteroWinWordIntegration@zotero.org, which in turn should contain Zotero.dot"

    Mas quando eu entro em "C:\Users\Bruna\AppData\Roaming\..." não tem a pasta Mozilla... Estou falando com vocês pelo Mozilla e com o Zotero funcionando no Mozilla.

    Falha minha, o passo 2 agora segui corretamente e consegui encontrar o Zotero.dotm. Agora falta entender o que é a pasta de inicialização do word pra eu copiar o arquivo do zotero...

    Já consegui. Mas quando abri o word para usar o zotero não deu certo. Abri o Mozilla e o complemento Zotero foi desabilitado não sei porque.

    So you have the toolbar appearing in every Word document now, yes? Excellent.
    You could try if you can just re-enable Zotero and the Zotero for Word add-on in mozilla.

    Eu baixei o standalone pra ficar independente do Mozilla e estou usando normalmente agora. O único problema é que toda vez que entro no word preciso ir em suplementos e habilitar o Zotero. Não consegui deixá-lo habilitado automaticamente.

    Great. That's probably some security setting in Word (something macro related) that's disabling that, but unfortunately that's about as specific as I am going to be able to help with that, I'm afraid. If you find it very inconvenient, you could see if someone in a dedicated Word forum may be able to help.
